Activities for Kids on Thanksgiving!

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is already here and is this week! It seems like this year truly is flying by and before we know it it will be 2019. Now, I’m not complaining because if Thanksgiving is close, Christmas is close to! But, we can’t skip holidays and need to focus on Thanksgiving…for now. Holidays have always been fun in my family but with the addition on my cousins having kids, they seem that much more fun. It seems like I have been put in charge of entertainment for the kids during the holiday get-togethers. It was started since I was fresh out of a breakup and needed something to keep my mind off of things. It has since stuck and I love it! I compiled a list today of ways to keep kids entertained during Thanksgiving…

Reasons I’m Antisocial

img_0024_facetune_22-10-2018-16-53-27By now is anyone surprised to find out that I am antisocial? I love staying in and lounging around in cozy clothes with my puppy (I do like to go out…sometimes). But by being antisocial I have found some shows and books that I love! There is nothing better than curling up on a fall or winter night under a blanket with a good book or show!

Everything Has Changed…And It’s Great

So you may have noticed that I haven’t been active on here…at all…for almost a year. There’s a huge reason for that and it is because everything in my life changed. I talked a lot about how my boyfriend and I lived together and how he helped me take pictures and do everything for the blog. Without going into any details I am back home with my parents. It was HARD. Like I really didn’t think I would make it through that time in my life. I lost everything at once. My house, him, and my dog. But, I firmly believe that everything does happen for a reason.

Like I said he helped me take the pictures. This was something I didn’t want to do anymore as it was a reminder of what I lost. A reminder of a person I no longer was. When I say a lot went down…a LOT went down that not many people know about. There are only a handful of people outside of my family that know the details and I don’t think I will ever talk about it on here. But I can say that I am better and I am ready.

I am ready to get back to doing something that I love. Something that may become a thing. Something that helps keep me sane. And when I say everything happens for a reason, it truly does. I have gotten close to people and had made some amazing memories that I probably wouldn’t have. While losing my dog was probably the hardest part of it, I gained an angel of a puppy, Piper. These are things that I didn’t want to share because I didn’t want him knowing. But honestly, how can you not share this cute puppy?!

I know I didn’t have to explain where I was or why I took such a long break and disappeared. It’s more of a thank you to those who supported me, made sure I was always doing as okay as I could be doing, being just a phone call or a text away as I was crying. A thank you to my best friend who answered my phone call driving to my parents house and stayed on the phone with me as I cried. A thank you to my parents for not questioning me having my old room back, a thank you to my dad who never wanted to have a 3 dog household and told me to get the puppy I wanted when I was ready. A thank you to my mom for just letting me cry whenever (and who I know will be holding back tears as she reads this). A thank you to my brother for answering my call that day and a thank you to his wife for calling me right away. For everyone being there for me.

I’ve written this post 1,000 times and never posted it. But now I am ready. Things won’t look the same as they once did and that is okay. I am different now and I have different interests and experiences that I want to share. I want to share how to get over a breakup, all the red flags for online dating, how horrible/wonderful a first date can be. And I am excited.

Until next time (and it will be very soon),

Spice Sugar Cookies

Christmas is soooo soon! Don’t worry, you only have one or two more posts of me saying that. This season has been a rough one with my timing and being on top of everything that needs to be done. That obviously means that I need to make cookies last minute and needed a quick and simple recipe to follow.  I ended up making…

And they are so good! They are so simple to make and take no time at all. They also make about 4.5 dozen so you will be sure to have enough cookies for everyone plus some for yourself left over! To me they taste almost gingerbread-y so they would also work if you want to make gingerbread cookies but don’t have the time to wait for them to go in the fridge and then roll the dough out.

Winter Essential: Fancy Jacket for the Holidays

It seems like winter has come so fast this year and I am pulling out all my cozy sweaters and jackets trying to keep up with the cold; we even had our first snow fall the other day! But, today I wanted to share with you a winter essential that is perfect for the holiday season:

Holiday Outfit Ideas

Hi guys! The holidays are so soon and I hope you all are ready. I think I love this time of year the most between spending time with family and also the magic of the season. Also, getting all dressed up isn’t a bad thing either 🙂 That is why today I am bringing you

I stayed on the more casual side since that is what my family does around the holidays but I added fun little pieces whether it be shoes or accessories to dress the outfits up. There is nothing better than being all cozy drinking hot coco and eating Christmas cookies!

So, lets go
